How to Make a Candleholder!

Candleholder
Creating a romantic, warm or relaxed atmosphere is easy with candles.
Today its quick and easy mostly because the candle wax is using the scented candles with strong fragrant herbs including:
- Rosemary
- Sage
- Lemon grass
- Lemon verbena
- Lavender, etc…
Let’s explore the glass candle holder and candleholders for herbs.
We’ll use a small sheet or section of vellum paper and a photocopier.
Later on you can adapt your candles to suit your home decor and setting.
(Originally vellum paper was used for scrolls and handwritten manuscripts bound into books) …
We’ll use vellum made from cotton which comes in a wide range of colors suitable for paper crafts and available from specialist stationery suppliers.
What you need is a list of items that can be made to fit a glass of any size.
This article will teach you how to use vellum to make decorative candle holders:
- Fresh herb leaves or sprigs (i.e. lavender, sage, bay, fennel, rosemary)
- Color photocopier
- Pale green translucent vellum paper
- Straight-sided high-ball glass
- Double-sided tape
- Tea light candles
- Herb-scented candle
How to make your candleholder:
Step 1. Work out the size of vellum.
You’ll wrap the vellum around the glass allowing for a small overlap.
Cut out as many pieces as you need.
Step 2. Lay suitably sized herb sprigs or leaves on paper.
This gives you an idea of the arrangement you like best.
Try a combination of arrangements like spiky leaves (rosemary), simple bold leaves (bay) or feathery foliage (fennel)…
Arrange the herbs on the copy plate of a photocopier and print an image onto ordinary paper until you’re happy with the arrangement.
Now insert the vellum into the paper tray and print your design onto it.
Step 3. Wrap the printed vellum around the glass.
Now fix the edges together with double-sided tape.
Place a candle in each glass.
Simple…you’ve just created your own unique candleholder.
