Here’s a simple and popular candle idea…for making hot chocolate candles!

You will need the following supplies:

  • A real hot chocolate glass
  • A wire core wick
  • Scented oil: Chocolate and Vanilla
  • Candle wax
  • Brown Dye

Step 1: Cut your wire core wick 75mm or 3 inches longer than the actual length of the glass.

If you have a wick tab, this will be helpful in keeping the wick in place while the candle in burning.

Using a pencil, wrap 25mm or one inch of candle wick around a pencil and position pencil over top of glass in the center of the candle.

Step 2: Prepare the brown wax mixture according to the heating directions that are included with your candle wax.

Once your wax has melted begin adding the brown dye until desired color.

After dying the wax, add desired amount of chocolate scent.

Step 3: Pour the wax into the hot chocolate glass allowing 25mm or 1 inch from top of glass.

You want to leave this top section wax free…for pouring the foam.

Step 4: Once the candle has formed a skin on the top, poke three deep holes.

The relief holes are helpful to keep the flame going when burning your candle.

Step 5: When the wax has cooled, stretch the wick full length.

Begin melting white wax according the the direction it comes with.

When wax has melted, add the scented vanilla oil and whip to blend ingredients with a whisk (cooking utensil).

When it looks smooth and foamy, add one spoonful at a time to the top of the glass.

If it goes over the edges of the glass that is fine because it adds a realistic look.

Step 6: Allow the candle to completely cool and solidify, light and enjoy or sell your candle.
